The Kansas Department of Revenue is conducting CDL Proxy Testing and ELDT Theory Event for prospective CDL drivers. The event is hosted by USD 266 Maize.
Registrants will receive ELDT Theory and CDL written test to obtain a CLP (Commercial Learners Permit)
Prospective Kansas school bus driver will be able to take the written test for all or any of the following:
- General knowledge test for a Class A CDL (50 questions)
- General knowledge test for a Class B CDL (50 questions)
- Written test for P Endorsement (20 questions)
- Written test for S Endorsement (20 questions)
- Air Brake test (25 questions)
- Must score 80% on each test taken to pass
ELDT Theory Provider:
USD 266 Maize and or Kansas Department of Revenue.
Note: Theory completion will be entered into the TPR (Training Provider Registry) by one of these entitites.

Cost:
NO Charge.
Upon passing the written test on June 5th, candidates will be provided documentation to present at a CDL licensing station to obtain their Commercial Learners Permit. The standard CDL fee of $13 for the Commercial Learners Permit will be collected at that time.
