The Kansas Department of Revenue is conducting a CDL Modernization Skills Testing Workshop. The event is being hosted by USD 260 Derby.
This workshop is designed and intended for school bus driver trainers. Participants will receive classroom and hands-on training on the fundamentals and criteria required by CDL examiners when conducting the CDL modernization Pre-Trip, Basic Control and On Road Driving CDL skills testing.
Effective January 1, 2026, all new CDL applicants will be required to perform the modernization skills testing when testing for their CDL. NO EXCEPTIONS.
