The Kansas Department of Revenue is conducting CDL Proxy Testing and ELDT Theory Event for prospective CDL drivers. The event is hosted by USD 469 Lansing. 

Registrants will receive ELDT Theory and CDL written test to obtain a CLP (Commercial Learners Permit)

Prospective Kansas school bus driver will be able to take the written test for all or any of the following:

  • General knowledge test for a Class A CDL (50 questions)
  • General knowledge test for a Class B CDL (50 questions)
  • Written test for P Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Written test for S Endorsement (20 questions)
  • Air Brake test (25 questions)
  • Must score 80% on each test taken to pass

Note: Theory completion will be entered into the TPR (Training Provider Registry) by KDOR

Note: CDL Written Test will be administered only on July 24th.

  • After passing the exam, participants must visit a full-service Driver's License office to pick up their permits and pay a $13 fee for the permit.
  • Obtaining BTW (Behind the Wheel) training will be the responsibility of the registrant
